I really just wanted to see an Indigo Stinger and drive a 3.3 for myself. Neither the car nor the dealer impressed me. However, they did have a nice white pearl GT1 on the floor. With a stated online price of $40,400 (47,000 MSRP - dealer discount - 3500 KMF cash) I thought, well, maybe there’s room to move. As it turns out, their ACTUAL MSRP price was $52k+ including all those extra special profit-making enhancements we ALL really really want......pinstripes (didn’t those go out in the 80s?), door edge guards, paint protection, nitrogen in our tires, etc. There was something else I can’t remember but it all brought the MSRP up to over $52k. I said you people are crazy. I’m not paying for those. They asked me what my bottom line was. I told them. They proceeded to play games (besides the $52k one) going back a couple of times and always getting someone else involved and weren’t even close to my bottom line. Then why the f*** ask me in the first place?!? I asked for my keys (they were looking at my car) and walked out. I wasn’t gone 5 minutes before the GM called. Then I got a text from one of the nicer people there......”come back the GM wants to give you what you want”. Well, I don’t bend over twice. I said you had your chance to sell a car. YOU blew it. Why would I come back when I couldn’t trust you the first time? I enjoyed driving back in my pristine 2.0 Premium silky silver that had way more options on it then the Indigo and about the same as the new white pearl car, minus the 3.3 and Brembo brakes of course. Got nearly 30mpg going UP the mountain back into NC at 80mph and told the dealer in a text to look for this review shortly. Must be a lotta suckers walking around the greater GSP area in SC to keep these guys in business.
