Any suggestions on how to get this stripped screw out? Has been an absolute nightmare

You could try the old rubber band trick and if that doesnt work you probably need to go buy a screw extractor kit from your local hardware store.

I'll attempt the rubber band, but pretty certain I'm going to just drill the head off at this point.

Yeah considering you can easily use the hole directly above it to size up what bit to use, that might be the best way to go.

A small dremel wheel to turn it I to a slot screw has worked for me in the past in some situations

Drill as a last resort. Get yourself an extraction tool from a cheap hardware store like Canadian Tire up here in the Republic of Kan-er-du. Prep it like RedCal suggests then put a couple drops of a penetrating oil on it. It should only be in there snug not gorilla torqued.

You take whatever type head it is screw driver....place some baking soda on top of stripped out screw.put on driver...add super glue to the top and in a few seconds the screw will be bonded to screw driver with the welded up baking soda superglue mix and then unscrew it.....crazy but baking soda and superglue react to make a hard weld ...use the super glue that fits application...from runny to thick superglue Wash

Thx for sharing this one. I’ll be trying it soon on something….just for fun!

Drilling the head off worked perfectly and was super easy.
