Is This Normal?

i have the burger pedal tuner which is pretty much the same thing, right?
Yes they all essentially do the same thing. The pedal tuner is my favourite of the bunch and is the one I got too.

What drive mode?
Comfort, Eco and Smart will all cushion the throttle response. Sport will be more immediate. I notice quite a bit of hesitation in comfort mode (which I normally leave it in). Switching to sport/custom (which I have with "sport" for most of the settings) takes that out.
A pedal tuner won't help a whole lot in comfort/eco/smart because then the ECU thinks you're being even more egregious and will cushion even more.

Speaking from experience as an owner of a 3.3T with a pedal tuner, it makes the throttle response in comfort just as aggressive as sport but without all the high rpm hang that you get when you put the car in sport transmission. It makes comfort totally livable and is well worth the investment.

I've noticed this too. Isn't this behavior built into the ECU? Look at this JB4 log, pedal is 100% while the throttle lags for a bit.

i always drive in sport mode and have my pedal tuner on the most aggressive setting. my car jumps like a beast...EXCEPT when i floor it and the 1 second delay kicks in. but when it does, it throws me back in the seat. ;) luckily, i'm not flooring it most of the time and i love my setup and the way it drives other than that 1 lousy second. :p

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...
Even the steering wheel is electronic.

Ehhhh what? It is electric assist like many new cars today, but it is not "steer-by-wire" like you see in some Infinitis/Nissans.
