Is it possible to turn DRLs yellow like the K5?

Anyone know of a way to do this? I was thinking the stinger would look downright ferocious with the yellow DRLs especially on darker colored stingers.

I had been quoted 1000nat one point. Thats a hard pass for me. Ill do it myself when/if the time comes. Now depending on where you are located there are shops that do it. Its just a matter of looking for them. Fl theres one in miami and orlando that will build them. If you are in socal or well Ca. period i have no doubt that theres a shop near you that could do it. I know how big the scene is out there it really shouldn't be hard.

Other option would be to transparent headlight tint. There's a ton companys that sell that. Even chameleon colors.

One cheaper way could be to take off the headlights, open them, and tint the drls with amber. I have absolutley no idea how long that would take and if you are even able to take the headlights apart, but just an idea to explore.

I’ve seen these in person. They’re very showy and customizable, but not very bright. Even if set to amber they won’t have that intensity the K5 has.

I don’t think tint will do it either, you’d have to bake them open and retrofit amber strips in place of the white DRLs.

These can be trimmed a little for a perfect fit.

I’m hesitant to bake my own lights, but I have a set of old lights from a truck with broken tabs I may practice on. Too many stories of expensive lessons learned from first timers out there.

I’m guessing we could wire to the existing connections the white DRLs use, or if not just run the leads out the back and seal up the hole like I’ve seen in other retros. I’d probably do the latter since I don’t like how the DRLs reduce in intensity in park and shut off in Auto at times.

If I did this I’d rewire my CK1s to be amber with no switch back. I’ve always been jealous of the K5 and Telluride ambers.

The tech does. Obviously you need a Stinger headlight assembly. I saw a Stinger tailing me and it had green DRLs.

No because our DRLs don’t switch back to Amber for turn signals. We have separate turn signals.
