Interesting Discoveries Thread (Good or Bad)

There is a valid reason why we have *him* on ignore...

I stopped in a parking lot on "auto hold" to talk to someone. Got carried away chatting and never put it in park. After about 15 minutes my screen flashed up "E-Brake automatically applied" so that was neat.

Yeah, I noticed that too. I was waiting in one way traffic control one time for road construction, waited about 20 minutes, somewhere in that time, I got the same message.

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...
If you change the position on the heads up display you need to re-save your seat settings on the drivers door panel. If you don't, it will move back to it's original position the next time to apply seat setting 1 or 2.

I'm not sure if this was brought up, but I was yesterday years old when I realized that the left paddle shifter has a small hollow inset on the back of it and the right paddle shifter has an embossed dot the same size as the hollow raised up on the back - tactile feedback to which paddle is downshift and upshift.

Yup. I can't believe it took me until this past weekend to realize that they were there.
Don't use the paddles much? If not, why would you ever discover the tactile up and down shift markers?

Ima trying to recall. It's been almost eight years. I followed the rool book, aka owners manual, and kept my RPM between 2-4K for the first 600 miles, which meant being in Sport mode to aid in that agenda, because of the feature that allows the trans to stay in manual when you are in Sport until you come to a complete stop. So, I discovered the bump and dent pretty early. What I did not discover for over three months is manual gate. I read about it first in the owners manual and had a "no way" moment. Went immediately out to my GT1 and turned it on to see. Been using manual gate 99% of the time ever since.

I don't use them too often, but when I do use them my fingers touch only the outer edges of the paddles, so they didn't go far enough onto the paddle to feel the bump and dent. When I'd clean her, I guess it just didn't register the bump and dent.
