Has anyone found direct replacement upgrades for our coils? I haven't but I figured I'd ask to see if it's even necessary or worth it. (My goal is competition focused)

Try giving Ripp Superchargers a call. They have some Toyota specific coils that might fit with a little investigation and testing.

No one has discussed replacing coils. Does not appear to be any kind of limitation at this point.

Stock coils are fine compare to the cars made before. I had a supercharged Prelude and had to change the coils to MSD before. Fun times!

I got one each of the Delphi form RockAuto, only replacements I have found other than OE.

Might be a dumb question but obviously other than direction, is there an actual difference between the left and right coil pack?

Right and left side coil packs are different. Make sure you order 3 for each side.

They are different part numbers, and have connectors pointing to different directions.

Looks like the aftermarket thinks there was a revision in 2021 and they haven't caught up. But according to Kia, there are still left and right coils all the way through 2023.
I haven't looked under the hood recently but the angled coil connectors are probably just for convenience and not strictly required.
I would be deeply suspicious of an "upgraded" coil pack without any specifics. Would be interesting if someone could post the actual supplier and part number. If you really want to replace the coils then get OEM or a quality aftermarket like Standard or Delphi.
