If you have had brake issues, then read this.

I’ll report back this weekend.

Just arrived back, first thing I did was move my Stinger and look at the Rotors. No marks, deposits or anything on the rotors. Took it for a quick drive, all is normal, braking included.

Good to hear! Thanks for the update. My car is still under the microscope at the dealership.

Dealership reported today that they had verified that the new aftermarket pads and stock rotors were having the same issues I reported previously on the original pads and rotors. The service manager and technician attempted to compare my car to a "new" one on the lot that the dealership manager has been demo-ing but found the brake pulsation and hot spot issue on that car with only 1400 miles. The dealership is currently taking feeler gauge measurements of clearance between the pads and rotors during hot and cold rotor conditions. They are working with the TechLine to increase the database for brake issues and possible solutions the dealership can enact.

I will say that the dealership has been fantastic in working to resolve this issue. They are putting in the time it takes to get the answers to the issues. I was told that due to the increasing number of brake issues on the GTs they are seeing, they have instituted a new policy that when a Stinger comes into the shop for brake issues, the service manager MUST be notified. I still have the issue, but I feel that the dealership is being very proactive in resolving the issue.

Glad you have a team working for you on this.
Have they offered any hypothetical causes yet? (what would they be looking for as the most likely cause?)

No hypotheticals yet. Until recently, they had been handling it right out of the manual using the remedies prescribed there. The recurrence is what has them stumped because there is no procedure for that. They are working with the Kia TechLine though now to elevate the issue another level. The problem occurring on a dealer owned car with 1400 miles has given newfound credibility that it is not a case of driver error or misuse.

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...
