Hi, All.

As the title says, I'm looking for overlay or sticker/decal options to cover up the annoying presence of the yellow WARNING on the inside of the sun visors. IMG_20181126_094548.webp

Preference would be a "Stinger" script cover; which I would put on upside down, so that when the visor is flipped anyone seeing it from the outside would see "Stinger" right side up. Cool!

Are such things available? (I looked on the only thread I could find so far, but only window decals were being discussed; there isn't anything, yet, that I could find discussing this idea.)

You can actually remove the sticker, it takes some work though.

Remove the visor and then soak a rag in alcohol, lay the rag on the sticker and let it sit for awhile. Start to peel the sticker. Repeat until it’s all gone.

Thanks for the suggestion. I don't want to remove it. I want to cover it up. With something pretty; without altering the original. (I did this with the hood and hatch badges too: I used the metal skin "K" overlays without hurting the original KIA badges.)

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...
There should be some stuff on eBay. I recall a few joking about quick driving and ejection seats. As far as custom stinger script? Might have to contact somebody like Billet Tell me or a custom decal shop

You could look into replacing the entire visor with one from outside of North America. It’s possible the Korean or Australian visors lack that label.

I know in the Audi community, owners replaced their visors with the EU spec ones that are label free.

If anyone is interested in this method, 91% rubbing alcohol is pretty much required (not that pansy 70% stuff )

I would assume that the area the label was attached to will still show the “ghost” of the label after removal. Maybe only in direct sunlight?

Be interesting if someone can confirm this, and then harass our vendor partners to obtain these for purchase.

Yea, usually the border still shows. But it's much better than without the label if it bothers you.

The Aussie version has an airbag warning sticker on the passenger side but it's only visible when the visor is pulled down.

Using this, I printed off two c. 5" wide logos. I think my printer's black is starting to go (it's been giving me a low black ink warning for months :p); otherwise the black would have been closer to the vinyl sheet I used. But the effect looks pretty dang good anyway, imho!

It'll satisfy for now:

Here are some pics on the quickie project. The construction took less than an hour; the running around and deciding somewhat longer. :p
