I have a 2019 Stinger Gt and want to know what the best performance spark plugs and coil packs are to buy?
Welcome aboard! And thank you for signing up. Just letting you know I moved this topic out of the community lounge and into the Stinger drivetrain forum...

Ima here so will say something from my extensive reading and limited experience. I use oem plugs they might be better than denso for stock, and probably should just stay stock plugs with stock engine. out of denso and hks the wisdom says hks last longer. coil packs are fine at least I have not read of anyone going with other than oem coil packs. now others who mod their drivetrain can add. @Volfy is particularly good with information lately and he tracks his gt-line.

My car keeps cracking spark plugs in half because someone put a tune and cold air intake on my car before I bought it. It was recommended by a couple of people to put these performance parts on my vehicle.

If you have a tune, you definitely need better plugs. HKS are pricey, but the best option out there.
Some have had coil pack issues (don't think there is any other part available except OEM), and if that goes, you need to do BOTH the pack and the plug, as a bad plug has been demonstrated to destroy a new coil pack and vice-versa.

How exactly are your spark plugs getting cracked in half?
His coil packs like have an issue. @MerlintheMad had a repeating plug cracking issue on his stock Stinger which turned out to be a coil problem. I believe he had to endure a # of dealer visits before they finally change the coil/s.

Same boat right now 4 times to KIA. They told me to come pick up the car and i drive it around the block issue comes back. Take it right back. Seriously about to get legal council for lemon law. This is b*s that in 2023 a car manufacture is unable to diagnose a Engine misfire With CEL code

Perhaps they are just to lazy to get to the bottom of your issue. Have you talked to them about the coil packs?

If it's anything like my local Kia dealership they just don't give a f*ck about actually fixing your car. I had an issue with my coil packs rusting inside the boot and it took 4 trips to get them to finally look at the part I physically verified and took pictures of.

FWIW, I just changed plugs last night at 22,660 miles just to see their condition and because I’ve heard many negative stories here about misfires etc.

Car has never been tuned and has a decent amount of highway miles. Plugs were certainly not in need of being changed and very consistent across all six. No tip erosion at all & nice light brown coloring. I have a WiFi HD borescope and the cylinder walls are nice and clean with a perfect cross-hatch pattern. I changed them anyway since 40k is not that far off for me and $75 is not too bad for an early swap.

The sharper the electrode, the easier it is for the spark to initiate and more stable the plasma bridge, the less likely the plasma is to be blown out by swirling gases.

In the old days, we used to remove the plugs and carefully file the electrodes to regain the sharp edges. These days, seems nobody bothers to do that any more. The center electrode is almost always very small, pointed and made of very tough & durable material like iridium, which eliminates the need to sharpen, unlike the old copper cylindrical-shaped center electrode. But the ground electrode still is the good old rectangular bar metal it has always been. That pic above shows very well exactly where spark likes to form on - the nearest sharp edges.

This is also why plug mfrs came out with V-groove and twin electrodes, to increase the amount of sharp edges available for spark formation, and to lengthen the amount of run time with sharp edges.
