I've contacted dealer that I purchased it from and they can't do it and or don't know anything about it. He was suppose to call back and never heard back from him.The guy I spoke with said the windshield may have to be removed to install and didn't know what all parts I would need. I believe I'll need a bracket and a wiring harness to hook this up along with the windshield that is made for the HUD's. I have a HUD already found a awesome deal on compared to all other prices for OEM HUD'S. Another issue that may occur is the HUD going to need some type of programming for my car to acknowledge the HUD unit is installed?

It’s been talked about a month or so back and I believe the consensus was it would be cheaper and easier to up grade to a GT2 or Limited(Canada eh). Good luck and keep us posted I’m sure there are a number of members that will follow with interest.
The dash will need a hole in it for the HUD, either cut it or find a dash from a wrecked one. You may not need to replace the windshield. I understand that windshield is different to help the HUD be more visible but I believe you can apply a film to the area the HUD will be.
The HUD will go in behind the gauge cluster, I do believe you will need a new wiring harness for this project or someone knowledgeable enough to tap into the stock harness.
I have a 19 GT and checked for the HUD plug when I pulled my cluster doing the swap GT1/2 cluster swap, it was not there.
Good luck on the project and keep us posted. HUD and Ventilated seats are two things I’ll be looking to add long term on my GT. People originally said the cluster swap would be thousands of dollars and to get a GT1 or 2. I’m in it for less than $500.
HUD may be more costly but no one truly knows since no one has done it. Check the general talk sticky thread for the service manual. That will help you see the components of HUD and search other areas where HUD electronics are at. When I did the cluster swap I did see mentions of HUD in the wiring plug for the GT1/2 cluster and iirc in the variant coding section.

Thanks a lot for the response I feel a lot better about tackling this, I think a lot of people including the dealers haven't done it so they throw a crazy number at you. I got my OEM HUD for 225$. Do you think I should be safe to get my window fixed I have a large crack in it from semi throwing rocks. I heard that the window needed to be out to install the HUD, but the crack is driving my nuts. Thanks for your time and I will keep everyone informed when its completed.
It takes a more than a "hole" in the existing dash to mount the HUD. The "cash pad assembly" for models with the HUD has additional structure to it, and also needs a cover/trim piece.
You'd probably save yourself a lot of time by sourcing parts from a wrecked vehicle, although it would need to be one where the front airbags had not deployed.

Good point on the mounting brackets needed beyond a hole in the dash. When I looked behind my cluster and did not feel a plug coming off the harness I decided I would delay that project for a little bit and work on some others.
