How to touch up some paint...gulp

Hmm...it did surprise me. I go to the dealer maybe tomorrow for something else...you think there is any argument here? I have scuffed up from a curb other cars, and never had something like this. My head went to the paint issue sometimes described on this forum.

Its definitely noticeable. Id at least bring it up. Based on the damage on both of your cars, it looks like the paint job is garbage.

Why does the paint look like its coming off in chunks? It looks like one of those old wooden patio chairs that is flaking badly. That is not how properly adhered paint should look after a scuffing.
it looks exactly the way it scraped off my BMW 550M Sport , exact same damage , no flakes at all . Plastic and paint vs a curb , or in my case a large rock always lose ..............not a paint issue , no news !

Not to derail this, but don’t use the paint pens from KIA. My hi chroma red is NOT the same color. Now I have a small dark ass spot on my fender.

Not sure the paint is the fault there, it does look like careless curb rash - if you really want to avoid this you can so it would be total owner fault here, even if an honest mistake was made... too bad though... I would be very careful to avoid crap like this on a 50K car...
also forza guy, your paint on your 2019 would be no different, I highly doubt KIA changed any of their spraying processes from 18 to 19...

EDIT: Excluding the yellow stinger to which KIA admitted :)

OP, find a paint detailer. Your dealer probably uses one, since new cars come in fairly often with little scrapes and scuffs and they touch them up before putting them on the lot. Believe me, a good detailer can airbrush spots like that and clearcoat it in a half hour and make it absolutely disappear. A spot like that might cost you $100 or so, and it's a heck of a lot better than having a body shop pull your bumper cover and repaint it.

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...
