Now that I have your attention, what I’m wondering is how restrictive is our primary cats, and what kind of gains can be picked up from going to a high flow cat?

I’m looking to squeeze a little more out of my car power wise, and that’s about the last bolt on I’m considering.

I currently have:
Injen intakes,
Cat less mid pipe
Cat back exhaust
JB4.

Now the car made great power on the dyno and ran 12.2, but I’d love to see an 11 something. I don’t think I would see more power with an intercooler or WMI, just more consistent power on hot days and back to back runs. I don’t want to go completely catless for legal, warranty, smell issues.

My performance shop is suggesting custom made high flow primary cats and down pipes which is going to run me in the range of $1200+. What I’m wondering is what I’m really going to get out of it and if it’s really worth the investment. Thoughts?
