How many GT owners previously owned a G37?

I am a prospective buyer, and the current owner of 2013 G37 sedan. I'm asking because Id like to know how the Stinger GT compares in terms of ride quality and handling. I love my G, it's a very raucous and fun little sedan, but at 140k, it's time to get a new ride. I've driven a few, but you know test drives, it's hard to really get a feel for the car until you live with it for a few weeks. Good replacement? Miss the G?

My other option I am currently looking at is a 2018 CPO BMW 440i, but I have all kinds of reservations about that. I really prefer the Stinger.

I had a 2011 G37 sedan lowered on tanabe coilovers, tanabe axelback, and had an upreve tune (only for about 6 months as a test dummy). That was a very robust car inside and out, loved it and just sold it a few months ago.

Interior: for the most part, the stinger interior is up to par in terms of being solid but the G felt a bit more luxury. -- -tech was very outdated compared to the stinger.
- Stinger is much more roomy, especially the trunk.
- wind noise is substantially better in the stinger at hwy speeds.

Performance: the VQ engine was raucous, just the way I like it. Stinger feels more refined and obviously more powerful.
- Tranny, stinger has it beat. Although I truly enjoyed the rev match on the G.
- Handling is better on the stinger - stock. but I started modding my G 3 months after rolling out of the dealer so hard to remember.

I have no regrets on the stinger, although that annoying creaking (on hot days only for some reason) from the sunroof irks me a bit. I do miss the G - a naturally aspirated v6 crazy child with excellent build quality. New for new, I'd get the stinger.

I tried that along with 4 or 5 other vehicles. I'm 5'9 185 and I felt squished in the 440 GC. Might be a different story in the coupe.

The only thing I miss about my g37 coupe was the exhaust note(stock to stock). I went through too many cars after that to remember what g37 was like. For me, Stinger has been more than the g37/q50/q60 offered. Test drive one and I think you will fall in love with it.

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...
I owned a G35 6MT for a few years. Fun car and awesome exhaust note. BUT, the Stinger is best so far - and by far!

funny I found this thread. my stinger will be joining a 2013 g37x coupe in the driveway. both are the same in the sense that both are salvage titles. the G has a very stiff sport suspension, just the way I like it. Stinger has it beat in terms of power and rear room. plus trunk.

Thanks for the replies. I do like the exhaust note on the G, I miss the days of tuned exhausts. And some people hate the VQ37's sound, but I love it. It is totally raucous above 4k, and the car is honestly fast as heck, so I am attracted to the 'even more!' power of the Stinger, and especially the torques. I do understand there is a valved exhaust option for GTs in Australia? Is that available here? And yes, the trunk on the G is tiny, I would love having all of that cargo space, and rear seat space.

Space is very nice. I have a Honda Wagon to balance out the coupe. What it lacks in power it makes up for in big boooty. Like its full size SUV big boooty lol. Anyways, The aus valved exhaust is very expensive to ship here. Plenty of valved choices here though. Look around.
