So I have a JB4 (map 2 daily) with HKS plugs and Injen intakes. I just bought some snorkels to help the air flow. I plan on exhaust system. How else can I increase HP? Am I maxed out on bolt ons and cheaper style upgrades? I’m not at that point of a bigger turbos and definitely don’t plan on spending the funds for that. Anything else relatively cheap I can do to increase hp? Burger Tuning has that “450whp” setup which is basically the jb4 and intakes, which I already have.
If you can get E85 anywhere . You can run a mix and go to Map 4 which i Guarantee would make you happy.
Its Wicked fast compared to stock and totally noticeable increase from Map2.
Add the new HPFP and a larger FMiC
And your easily into too much fun zone.

Even bigger turbos won't help, more boost means you need higher octane. Either E30, or WMI. The stock turbos should be good for at least 500hp, but you need better fuel to make it all work.
Exhaust and downpipes will help you get more airflow and help increase your power with the tune. If you have not seen the Ultimate Performance Downpipe Combo Kit, I highly suggest you check it out.

so I just checked online and pulled up to this gas station that has some 87 “contains ethanol” gas. What is this? sorry for my naivety, I just don’t want to run 87 with anything. I have Boostane Professional so I can increase my octane. Just wondering if I can use this 87 octane with ethanol and mix with Boostane to run Map4/5?

Most gas that doesn't specify Ethanol free is "E10". 85 octane + 10% ethanol = 87 octane.
But starting with low grade 87 and then trying to make up for it with expensive octane boosters for higher maps doesn't make much sense, vs. starting with 91/93 and then mixing in ethanol to E30.
4 gallons of E85 in a tank of premium (~12 gallons of 93) will have you at about E30 and 96-97 octane. And a cheap ethanol test kit will let you adjust if your E85 is actually E75-80.
You need to find.
E85 Which is Ethanol, on average 100 to 105 Octane.
Then use roughly 4 gallons of E85 to normal 92/93 Octane. Which should get you based on the quality of the E85 to 96 octane.
Run a log WOT 2nd gear through 4th on Map3 . Check it . If it looks good move up to Map4 run a log and check it.
Most people can run Map4 cleanly with that mix.
I would steer away from Boostane other then very limited use

Thank you! Makes sense, so I need ethanol, I can’t just use the cheap stuff and try to catch up with octane booster, sounds like a bad combo anyways now that I think about it. Unfortunately that’s all I have around me is that low grade 87 with ethanol.
So I guess I’ll just stick to my Shell 93 octane V-Power Nitro stuff and run Map2 to be safe, I accidentally dumped half a bottle of Boostane Professional (~16oz) yesterday into the tank while filling up 93 (that stuff poured out fast and before I knew it half the bottle was gone). I’m basically running 100 octane on Map3 lol, may Give Map4 a shot and I’ll log them, and go back down to Map2 on 93. The Boostane will wait until Spring/Summer.
