When I lock my Stinger, I only get the faint beep to let me know the doors locked. In other cars I’ve owned, upon pressing the lock button a second time, the horn will beep once but the Stinger doesn’t do this. I find it useful when I am walking into a store and can’t remember if I’ve locked the car, or when I leave somewhere and can’t remember where I parked. Does anyone know if I’m missing a setting that enables the horn beep?

The UVO App will track where you park.

I’m having this same problem. Does the horn on the stinger not beep when you lock the doors like in the Optima and every other Kia?

Same problem here. Is this a setting or how the Stinger operates?

It's operating as designed. The Stinger operates like most other luxury cars in that you get a chirp rather than an annoying horn blast. My Audi operates the same way.

If you can't find your car in the lot, just use the panic button on your key fob, or the UVO app as suggested above.

The lights flash and it sounds as though the doors are locking, but I am not getting a chirp or beep to confirm.

Same for me, with the 2018 AWD 3.3L
Lights (blinkers) blinks and doors locks, no beep or anything other then the locking.

GT/GT1/GT2? Have you physically tried the door handles to see if they're locked? It's possible that one of your doors isn't locking and this is why you aren't getting the confirmation beep/chirp.

If they're all locked then it's not normal that there is no confirmation tone. Ask the Dealer about it.

GT...sorry! I will check later to make sure the doors are locking. Thank you for your help.

Is there a option in the driver information screen to turn the chirp off/on? I recall seeing that, I think.

Look through the menu and see if yours is disabled.

I though the same but it says nothing of that option in the owner's manual (that i could find).

I had no luck with the owner's manual as well. I went through my driver information screen this morning and I did not have any luck. I could have overlooked it though.

It should beep once in lock and twice on unlock. If one of the doors is still open you’ll hear a long beep. Ask your dealer about it

Yeah, OP, test the long beep. It's the bane of my existence while driving my wife around. Open the passenger door and try to lock the car with the button on the driver's door handle. If the car doesn't emit a soul chilling screech for 3-4 seconds, something is messed up. More messed up than my wife taking 20 seconds to get out of the car and then shut her door.

It'll also trigger if you leave the keys in the car but try to lock with the handle.

Any update ? Have a 2.0 2019 GTLine and no beep / chirp .. no option .. not mentioned in the manual .. maybe it’s bound on another setting ? Never had seen a video also where it chirps ... also maybe it’s only with a car that supports remote start ?

It's an option in the settings.

Edit - I was wrong. Doesn't appear to be an option at all.

As I don’t see it in the manual can u tell me where ?

I was wrong, sorry. I went and checked, I had remembered choosing off, chirp, or horn - but it turns out, that is my Sorento. The Stinger just beeps gently (which is how I have my Sorento set as well..)

Kind of crazy it's not an option on the Stinger, but more interesting yours doesn't make any sound at all. I guess they don't want your disturbing the neighbors in Germany!
