I just noticed (after about the 10th time hitting the wrong garage button) that my homelink buttons don't light up. When it's dark, I have to feel around to hit the right garage button, which I thought was weird. Then I realized that my 2014 Toyota Sienna buttons actually light up! I'm trying to figure out if that's the way it is, or is my mirror not wired up correctly? This seems really odd to me considering all the bells and whistles included in this 2019 GT2 model to not have them light up. See pics to clarify what I'm talking about.

Thanks for the quick reply @nhcowboy28 . That's really surprising, considering I have it on my older (and cheaper!) minivan. But, I guess I'm relieved that I don't have to take the car in for a warranty repair.

I really like your idea of putting an adhesive dot on the button. I'll probably do that.

The mirror itself doesn't have the backlighting on the buttons. I ended up replacing the mirror to get one from a different car that did. That requires some pinout changes on the donor mirror if it's not from another hyundai or kia.

That's cool. I could probably find one from a junked Sienna for pretty cheap too. Thanks for the input.

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...
Search for frameless mirror, theres a 7 or 8 page long thread about it. You can go to end if you just want the pin out. I have used Subaru mirrors without the drive assist camera on 2 Kias now with great results.

If you replace the Stinger "smart" mirror, you could lose the auto-dimming, which to my mind is far more important than seeing your garage button. If I had a garage door, I'd likely find a sticker that glows in the dark.

Most of the lit homelink mirrors have auto dim. It’s hard to find one that doesn‘t.
