I want to run a camera power cable along my dash, preferably under the trim piece between the dash and the window. Is this piece removable or is it a part of the dash?
Call Laketown Speed and Sound. They might be of help. They hid many camera wires in my stinger.I want to run a camera power cable along my dash, preferably under the trim piece between the dash and the window. Is this piece removable or is it a part of the dash?
Just saw this post. Did you do it already? I can probably drop by one of these daysCouldn't find any videos of that piece being removed. I think I'll just have a go at it this weekend.
Nope. I haven't been able to find a dry day to do it yet.Just saw this post. Did you do it already? I can probably drop by one of these days
Okay, I'm curious now. Where exactly am I?Oof actually it's gonna have to wait til after Xmas since I'm gonna be out of town .
Not sure what your setup looks like but either you're trying to put it where the windshield meets the frame, or you're trying to tuck it where the front fascia is (where the infotainment and stuff goes.
Either way, that's gonna be like 100x more work than using the headliner, at least according to the shop manual.
Also, in your neck of the woods, I'd be wary of having people see that I have a dash cam, which is why I installed a tint strip and mounted the dash cam behind that. Hard to see that I have a dashcam through the glass.
