Sitting in my Stinger is like my own little corner of heaven. ...until I look up. Those garish airbag warning labels on the visors make me want to rip my eyes out. Obviously they can't be removed, so I guess I'd like to cover them up. Are there any Stinger specific stick on decals that I can buy that are already sized and made for that purpose? If not, I believe it would be a very popular product to develop and sell here on the Stinger Forum site store.

Actually you can remove them. It’s a bit of a pain but I did it on my last car. They are just a vinyl “decal” that’s screen printed onto the visor. (I’m sure it’s more complicated than that though) Soaking it in googone and picking at it will get it off. Expect a couple hours worth of work.

Edit: Removing Stickers From Sun Visors

Years ago, local radio personality talked about that, and I think he had a convertible where the visors are more "up" than horizontal with the top down, so even more intrusive.

He ordered replacement visors, which came without stickers, but the dealer would not sell them to him until they applied the stickers themselves.

I've not looked at the stinger visors, but they're usually pretty easy to disassemble and re-cover.

The idea of a sticker is interesting... Would it be better to just be the color of the sun visor or would some type of information be good - just less obvious? I mean, I bet some people would like launch control instructions. :p Or maybe instructions on how to operate some type of technology feature...

I like the idea of some basic operation instructions being printed on a sticker, so long as it doesn't stick out like a sore thumb. For me, I'd probably just use a 3M Stickynote and throw it away when I've mastered the code.

What I REALLY want is something to tastefully disguise the current situation going on up on those visors. Yes, color match the visor, and even have the option of logos printed on them. I like the sleek look, so a tone on tone print would be nice. For example, a matte black background with gloss black lettering. And make a variety to match the other optioned interiors out there. Oh, and make them the exact same size (or very slightly larger) than the current Airbag Warning Labels so I can just cover them up without the hassle or mess of removing them. If priced right, and they serve their purpose well, I believe they will be a great source of income for the site store.

Thanks for entertaining the idea.

I wonder how well something would stick to the material. Any ideas on what might work best?

You might try one of these:

Yes, that's the idea. I'm pretty crafty and all, but I would like them to be pre-sized and cut. Ready to peel and apply. Even better if I could have something subtle yet purposeful printed on them, just so they don't look like a rookie coverup job.o_O But even flat black vinyl would be a 1000% improvement!! Thanks for the help guys.

Can someone send a pic of the actual stickers as I don’t have my car yet. Size of them too please.

I’ve used the vinyl on my last car and it was an improvement. There’s other options that are more expensive but made of cloth so it’ll match more closely. It’s just hard getting the shade to match.
