Headlight “Peeling”?

Just noticed this 'balloon' on my headlight. I've had Llumar protection foil on there for 2 years. At first, I thought it was an issue with the foil, so I asked the guy that installed it. He said it is almost certainly the protective lacquer of the headlight is peeling underneath. What the actual f***? Will visit him with the car for inspection, but if he's right that's just appalling.

Does it disappear when you press on it?

That definitely looks like the film is separating from the headlight.

Bummer. Kinda looks like the passenger and driver side mirrors on our car. Drives me crazy.

So after coming back to this thread from my original posting... I had them professionally wet sanded... i had the pitting and even long spiderweb like cracking. My professional recommendation is not a kit. i did that.... not good enough. once they are wet sanded have them AIR BURSHED with the clear coat. it will fill in all that and they will be like new and last longer.
