I just got smoked by a a Tundra while waiting for the onramp light to turn green. Oh yeah...did I mention he was in the express lane already near Hwy speed about 3 lengths back as the light turned green for me? Boy, he sure must be proud

That's sooo funny. Why do people - who have ZERO chance - at beating the Stinger race it with the mentality "Oh boy, maybe my engine got a elvish nitris upgrade during the night. Let's see!!!" So dumb.

It shows some from of that compensation thing I think! ; ) Or, is that us buying GT's! Ack!

I wrote some of this in another thread but seems perfect for this one too.

My first and second real world challenges went better than expected and I'm still kinda in shock!

My first real challenge was against a brand new 2018 Mustang GT 5.0 and we did a quick "roll race" from about 30-65mph. We both accelerated from the light normally but noticed each other around 20mph and punched it. I felt my tranny drop down a gear so he jumped about a foot in front of me, but I caught him when he shifted(must have been stick). He slowly started pulling ahead between 4-6k but I made up half the ground when he shifted again. I shut it down just past 65mph but he barely had a half a car length on me which made me extremely happy. For an extra 100HP I thought he would have stomped me so I take that as a win.

My next challenge was also a "roll race" but this time against a 2015-2018 Charger SRT 392. I was at a light next to a truck when I noticed the front of the SRT pull into the 3rd merge lane. I knew he was going to try to get in front of the truck so I switch to Sport mode and got ready. I didn't floor it but gave half throttle and jumped a couple feet in front the the SRT so he noticed me. He then must have punched as I saw his hood rise up so I floored it too. Luckily I was already in first so it didnt shift down and I hit the 2-5k torque rush perfectly. I stayed a few feet in front of him from about 10-60mph! I let off and he zipped past me, but he wouldnt even look at me cause I think he was embarrassed. It actually happened this morning and I'm still on the adrenaline high!

I'm kinda in disbelief and super impressed with the performance of our Stingers. I had to go back and research both cars and found that we are much closer matched than people keep saying...

Obviously they would start pulling on us at illegal speeds, but if we play to our advantages I now know we can compete with some of the quickest cars available!

I havent tested Launch control "dig racing" yet, but so far it seems like we are very strong "roll racing", especially from 10/20-60mph. Ill post more examples as soon as I get another opportunity, and hope others have similar experiences. I cant say it enough, but man I love this car more & more everyday!!!

Was challenged by a late model charger 392 last night. I was cruising at 62 on my way home from a friends house after having a few drinks. I'm sure I was over the .08 limit but felt just fine. Didn't want to get pulled over so I ignored him. He seemed disappointed but I didn't want to get in trouble...

Made it home fine.

Don't drink and drive kids...

I took a ride after work today. Hit the highway and a merc convertible was merging onto the highway just in front of me. His intention was to pull ahead of everyone. I floored it and passed right by him. He got behind me then switched lanes to pass me to get in front. Floored it again, it was close but I pulled ahead not allowing the pass. We played a little cat and mouse me ahead the whole time, I took an exit and he waved. It was a cool encounter and we both had fun with it. Stinger comes out on top again.

Well yesterday afternoon was merging on a double merge on the freeway (one car from each direction) and a Challenger tried to cut me off. I was ahead by about a half car length and could see him accelerating, so I got on it on the curve. I don't usually drive aggressively but this got me a little- how rude. Stinger did get a little loose in the rear. Kicked his butt so hard it took at least a mile for him to catch up and that's only because I had to slow down when we got to a busy stretch. Serves him right. Then I realized I was still in eco mode. Love my Stinger- handles wonderful and drives so smooth.

I just been getting lots of looks and thumbs up, which I don’t mind cause I do the same thing when I see a sweet looking car.

I had my first stranger interaction yesterday. The wife and I stopped for dinner and a guy from the business 3 doors down came walking over and asked "is that the new Kia performance car?". I replied yes, he said" that is one sweet looking ride" I just said thanks then we went in to eat and saw him taking pics of it with his phone.

I just had some fun on an empty highway and was challenged by 4 different cars. A wannabe BMW M4(think rebadged 430i), Infiniti G37, Ford Focus ST, and Subaru BZR. They all were upgraded with exhaust, pillar gages and matching logos, so may have been part of a car club or something.

I was cruising about 60 when a nice Blue BMW came up fast on my bumper. He tailgated for a second and then zipped past me in the open lane. I saw the M4 badge so I went to jump behind but realized there were 3 cars chasing right behind him. As soon as the BZR passed I floored it and caught the ST and BZR before breaking 80. The G37 and fake M4 spit lanes so I followed the bmw. I passed both of them with ease and had almost 2 car lengths lead by 100.

I blinked hazards and let off to be safe, but man it felt good knowing there was no contest. Just puts a smile on my face, and love this car more and more everyday!

PS:Knew it was a fake M4 because I kicked its a$$, and it only had the exhaust outlet on one side. I could also tell he was mad because he kept riding my bumper after losing, but that’s what he gets for being a rebadging wannabe. Lol

nice kill! right that must have been a 430i because of the one exhaust. well, they learned a lesson today about the stinger!

Isn't there some sort of Msport package or something that adds different badging, wheels, trim pieces, seats, etc to some BMW models? Might be what you faced off against...

Yes you’re correct, there are M packages for other models and it may have also had that option, but this BMW had a M4 badge. Only reason I know for sure is because I looked twice and even closer the second time since I was in disbelief I was passing him.

I was less happy seeing the single sided exhaust, but know a upgraded 430i isn’t slow so it was still a fun win nonetheless.

Yesterday I went out for a drive and had just got into an overtaking lane and accelerating to pass about 4 cars. From nowhere a brand new S7 Audi came flying up my ass. I punched it a bit then realized he wanted to race so give it a bit more and wasn't even in sport mode. I started to pull away at 180 kays then decided I was going way too fast so started backing off. Had made about a 2 car lengths between us, but could have humped him bad if I had tried. luckily I knew I was on a road where you don't see cops often , but still a chance.
