looking for a replacement for the factory ones I really don’t plan on auto crossing or driving top speed just looking for quite and longevity

Nitto Motivo UHP A/S. Quieter than Michelin Pilots and more comfortable. So many tire choices!

Be aware that high performance tires aren’t just for auto-x, high speed, or performance driving.
A sporty tire also imparts a quick, sharp feel to the steering and the chassis. You can feel this even at parking lot speeds.

If you are willing to trade a bit of sharpness and response for plush and quiet,
you will love Continental DWS06. They wear well, ride smoothly, are very quiet, and are above average in snow, while being great in the wet. Expect lighter, lazier steering, and mushier handling with them though.

More well rounded is the Michelin Pilot Sport AS3+
They are great in the rain, good in the snow, sticky on the dry pavement, and retain sharpness and response while riding smoothly too. The road noise is similar to the stock Michelin’s. They wear well too.

The DWS is smoother and more refined. The AS3 is sportier.

I have the stock GT2 19 inch wheels. If I switch to all season am I obliged to put on 18 inch wheel? I havent found an all season 19 inch wheel that would fit the stock summer wheel sizes (but I havent looked too hard either)

Anyone have any experience with switching to Bridgestone all season?

Owners of the A/S Bridgestone tires tend to switch them out; not the other way around!

If you ask Big O or probably any tire shop for exactly the same size A/S tires as the Michelins on your 19" rims, they will fix you up with options. For instance, I went into the local Big O and said what size tires I have (in Michelin Pilot Super Sport), and told them I wanted the same size in Nitto Motivo A/S UHP; and within less than five minutes the clerk was ordering them from the warehouse; and later that afternoon he called me back, I went and had them put on and was out of there in under an hour. I'm sure there are other brands of A/S tires available for the staggered 19" rims.

+1 on the DWS06!!

Coming from Infiniti Q50S (also on DWS06), was not a fan of the PS4's, so swapped them out for DWS06's at 6,000 miles. Couldn't be happier!

I went with the Michelin Pilot AS-3 tires. So far I like them a lot. My goal was to get better wear without too much negative tradeoff in handling.

I too got the Nitto Motivo A/S UHP tires for my GT2 AWD staggered setup. Had them on for about a month so far and have faced snow {4"), ice, freezing rain, heavy rain, and dry cold & cool conditions. Only around 1500 miles so far but I'm pretty happy. They have been good to great in the various weather -- not terrific o ice (but without studded winters, what is?). They seem little noisy, but I only drove the stock Michilins for about 2 weeks and maybe 400 miles in winter cold, so I really don't know. Probably a bit quieter than the BFG Force A/S I had o my WRX but could be better sound insulation on the GT2 too.

Local Discount Tire was able to get them in about 4 days and that was during the Arctic Vortex that had lots of businesses and shipping shut down. My biggest challenge was driving the Stinger to the shop for the install. Driving home, the Nittos gave me a bit more confidence in the cold, snow & ice!

Now my dilemma is whether I put the Michelins back on in another month when Michigan finally has a chance for no more snow and good odds for 60* highs ;)

Nitto Motivo AS Initial Review Here's the most prolonged discussion of the Nitto Motivo UHP A/S. My experience has been that the Motivos are quieter and softer riding than the OE Michelins. I will be putting the Michelins back on soon, until the next winter (I use the OE GT rims with the Motivos and bought "summer" rims for the Michelins :D).

That thread is what put the Nittos on my radar in the first place. Otherwise, I would probably have gone with the BFG GForce Comp 2 A/S as they did well on the WRX.

@Jmatthews, did you make your decision yet? If not, I suggest you check out discount tire. They have a brand made for them by Continental, named Barum Bravuris 3HM.

About 3,000 miles ago, I had a flat and needed to replace two of my Nitto Motivo tires. Selection was limited in my size and time was of the essence. So, I took a chance on a pair of these. At less than $100.00 each I am extremely impressed. They are every bit as good as the Motivo's.

Enjoy!
