GT2 Parking Braking Warning Light

Just took my stinger [1300 miles] to the Kia dealer because of a parking brake light that came on while driving. Stopped the vehicle and engaged the parking brake and released it. Started and drove on - no light for about 30 miles, then back on. This continued to happen two other times and stayed on permanently. Diagnostic check revealed a leak in the ABS system which requires a part. Since this is a first production model I am not surprised, nor upset, and do anticipate other issues. I was able to drive the vehicle without any noticeable issues. Just wanted to post to let all the stinger fans that there may be an issue associated with the braking system.

Personally, I make it a practice not to look around and notice anything when in the bathroom...

No spongy brakes, nothing to indicate a mechanical issue. Thought it was just a light malfunction. The other issue is ordering the parts; I anticipate this repair taking a week or longer - parts has to come from Korea, where the car was made. The dealer did provide a loaner.

Yer, suppose parts are not in stock yet as the cars are still arriving or is the part quite rare to go wrong?

Don't have any specifics yet as to the part. I do know this failure didn't appear on self engine check, or the Uvo health report. As soon as I get more info I'll post.

i can vouch for the rarity of parts, noticed trim on drivers side door, the dark chrome strip, seems to be peeling on mine, there is an order on hold. said it should be here by end of month. as for the leaking comment, depends. : )

This light keeps coming up in my vehicle. I already took my car to the dealership with absolutely so help. Can you please tell me what part they replaced? I have yet another appointment on the 22nd for this issue that keeps coming up.

Can you please tell me what part was replaced? I keep having the same issue for over 6 months and I keep getting the "well it's not on now" or " we reset the cars memery".

Apparently it is not showing anything in the car history of it. Of course the light does not turn on while at the dealership but it does come on while driving. I have taken many pictures and video of me having to pull over to shut off engine and that seems to clear it for a little while.

Please help!
