Hi everyone, I cannot find this number anywhere online. Does anyone know the Premium 2.0 ground clearance? Where I park for work they have either tall curbs or those concrete stoppers. My current car clears them without issue. However, the Stinger is about 15 inches longer and if I have to park back from the stops/curb, the back end of the car would actually stick out past the parking spot lines.

Just measured mine, the GT has 7.5" of ground clearance. The premium should be very similar.

Edit: On the nose, didn't measure rear.

stops/curb

Clearance in the rear for your purposes changes from 11.5" under the bumper to 8" just behind the rear wheel.
If you were to park backwards, you should clear the highest stops.
It's safer to park that way in any case, wherever you are. :)

Backing into a spot with curbs is far preferable to nosing in. But if you do have to nose over one of those parking stanchions there are little tabs of bumper plastic pointing down right in front of the tires, about an inch and a half below the bottom edge of the bumper. They can serve as an indicator that you are pushing the clearance. Of course the last thing you want is to test the clearance and find it lacking!

This car has almost made me afraid of parking! But I'm getting better at it. Mostly by not pushing the limits.

First rule about taking your time parking properly: Don't let anyone else make you in a hurry. Ignore them if you must. Second rule: park where nobody else wants to, out of the highly trafficked, high demand parking spots. The extra walking will be good for you. :)

Just gotta say, I'm very impressed with the amount of ground clearance on these Stingers! After my SRT Charger, it's refreshing to not scrape everywhere.

They look a lot lower than they actually are!

Thanks, it really is something to consider when going from a car where you never had to worry about it to now always being afraid. 7.5 seems pretty high though so I do not see how it would be a problem. My car says '6.1 fully laden' for minimum clearance. Not sure what that means, but I know it is lowest in the center. More space in front and rear. Wish these cars had the 360 camera. I can park fine on my own but when you have something brand new, it just becomes nerve-racking.

Might be closer to 7", but it's not terrible. I've pulled over sidewalks and stuff without damaging the front bumper. It doesn't seem to change much when loaded either. Took this picture yesterday, after unloading 4 people from my car. Didn't scrape at all, and I had barely 1/4" of clearance under the diffuser.

Wow, man that is close! Nice that it did not scrape...haha, only us car nuts can understand taking pictures like this!

My GT1 with 19" wheels has 7" clearance, 6.5" to be on the safe side. Have to be pretty careful on how close I get to a cement curb or stopper. Also, that is with no weight or people in the car.

Does the 18 vs 19 make a difference? I figured the tires just had a lower aspect ratio, so were the same overall diameter.

Just checked it out on Discount Tire, the 18's and 19's, both front and rear have the same diameter (26). Not sure what the 26 is but assume it's inches. Yes, just measured mine and it's inches.

How high is the ground clearance at the mid point of the car? I have a couple of huge speed bumps in my alley and dont want to constantly bottom out.

It's the same, essentially. Your oil pan cover might hang down a tiny bit along the trailing edge, especially over time. But it is flexible and facing toward the rear. If you're going forward over speed bumps, and it touches, nothing will happen: it will just flex up a tiny bit and no harm done.

ha ha already scraped my under valance, first stop from the dealer I forget where, lol no damage thou, haven't done it since

7.5"?!

I think I measured my genesis coupe STOCK with a front lip installed, clearance was about 1.5" LOL!

Wow... sure doesnt seem like it and I still drive up/down driveways like it's my gen coupe!

Happy to embrace snow this year thats for sure
