Hi

I've read numerous threads on getting AA to cover the full screen and none are working for me.

I've read the first thing to try is uncheck the Use Split Screen box under Phone Projection settings. When I click on phone projection, it tells me to attach phone. And when i do, all i can do is start android auto. How does one get to this option?

I found a few updates on update.kia.com, but the update button is greyed out (can't press on it). When i input the usb(s), it says can't read files and the update still greyed out. I've tried different combinations of clicking and inserting and nothing.

Why does this feel harder than it needs to be?

Keen for any step by step instructions that have worked for people.

Cheers

Ken

My AA did not display full screen when I picked it up from the dealer yesterday. I went to the update site and followed the instructions, first installing the downloader and then running it. The downloader downloads and transfers the file to the USB drive (32gig required). I plugged it in went to the 'Version Info / Update" section and updated. It takes a little while to search, recognize and allow the update. Wait for the file to be checked, downloaded and installed to the head unit and it was updated.

The phone needs to be unplugged to uncheck the split screen option, but works without other trickery when done. I am at work without my car but can find the screen and advise back if you like?

I've been using fullscreen AA for months now on the Stinger. Unchecking the split screen box is one step. After that, have you changed your video resolution in the android auto developer settings (On the phone)?

Doesn't tend to work. I've changed the developer settings and unclipped the split option in the car.

Sorry to hear that. Mind if I ask, is your car equipped with the older infotainment or the updated infotainment? Asking because I have the updated infotainment so I can't speak on the older systems.

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...
