I've recently upgraded my Stinger from a 2.0 to a 3.3 and my new GT doesn't have holes drilled into it like my 2.0 for the license plate. Has anyone been able to find a good license plate mount since I really don't want to drill holes into the bumper?

I haven't heard anyone say that's an issue. (There can't be very many options out there; maybe someone will see this thread who's bought one.)
That's exactly what I'm looking for. Do you have a brand that doesn't block the parking sensors?

Just search "hideaway license plate" on amazon they have the ones that flip down and slide under the front bumper for $38 bucks

The description says

Show N Go Retractable License Plate Holder

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...

iJDMtoy from Amazon or eBay. No issues with parking sensors.

I'm going to sound foolish but does having a front license plate reduce performance of the car? It's a relief to hear that it does not mess with the parking sensors... I have a Florida registered car so no need for front plates... when I was living in the DMV (Virginia and Maryland) I was very lucky and got away with just displaying the front plate on my windshield.

I love that retractable front plate! :D

Not foolish. I don’t know if anything is noticeable in terms of power but when I had a S2000 there was a difference in engine temps.

The holder I bought for the towhook does block one of the sensors - constant "beep" noise unless you turn it off or reach speed where it turns off.

Why mount a plate at all? In California there are so many cars without them, you would think it is legal not to mount it. I would rather risk the ticket than to mount a plate.

Dealership should have put the plate for you.

Dealership will drill right into your bumper. They do not care.

Thanks all. I got a plate that fits in the tow hook. After some placements it works great. FB2E7E92-448A-4E21-A7A3-EC1D5D95B61F.webp

Looks good.

So the standard front plate holder is drill the bumper? That’s terrible design. In the market currently and having to look out of a state to find some specific features on the car. I’m going to have to now exclude dumb dealers who punch it in those states.
