Thinking very seriously about getting a Stinger GT and if it's anything like the Sonata I used to have I'm guessing the front doors have a Molex connector for the wiring? Anyone know how many speaker wires go in to each door (separate for mid/tweeter/etc)? Has anyone easily run additional wires in to it without destroying the connector? Thanks!!!

Yes it has molex..

Yes it was a bitch.. I was able to run three pairs of 16 gauge per side for a fully active setup..

Thanks Randall! Did you use a Dremel or something to hone it out or a different technique?

Yep,

The top of my molex’s had a dead space that I used a dremel on..

Now I have a GT without the Harman system, so I can’t speak for that setup..

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...

Awesome, that's how I'd spec it too....BTW are you a DIYMA guy Randall?

No sir, I have been happily avoiding DYIMA for 15 years and counting... lol.. I am not a fan of the site

Say, does anyone actually have video/photos of separating the front door Molex connectors? Thinking I'll do a 3 way active front stage and would need to add a third wire if so.

I'm bumping @RSD Custom Cables question-anyone have any photos or video of the Molex process?

I think we are on our own on this. Which ever one of us gets there first needs to post pictures of it. I know it took me hours in my last car.

Almost 2 years since your posts. Just wondering how you managed to this.

Have not attempted. Every day that goes by my desire to modify my car decreases...put that audiophile energy in to my home system :-)
