Just curious what everyone likes. And do any of you any products that aren't the go-to detailers choices (i.e. Mother's, Chem Guys, Meguiar's). Want to grab some Megs, but it comes in gallon containers on Amazon. Which seems like way too much since you need to dilute it 10:1 most of the time. I don't need a lifetime supply. haha

Optimum No Rinse is my cleaner on everything. Of course it's a dedicated car wash solution for a particular purpose; to get your outside clean without rinsing, while adding some surface "slicker" to make getting it clean easier. As a glass cleaner it works well too. Since distilled water is my first "go to" as a cleaner, having ONR in the spray bottle solution is just a bonus. When this won't touch a spot, I get out the isopropyl alcohol. That solves just about everything. I'll use elbow grease and more alcohol before resorting to a strong chemical. So far, I haven't had any emergency cleaning incidents. On my latest road trip, I picked up a few dark brown specks, who knows what, from what? The alcohol worked; I just had to be insistent. They were really stubborn.

For my previous cars, super Clean 5:1 for wheel well and tires. 10:1 for interior then 303 aerospace for protectant. ONR is awesome for winter car wash. For nicer days, I break out the foam cannon and two buckets with decent car wash soap. I try to keep it simple and cost effective. I really don't see a reason to buy $40 magic sauce.

I bought a gallon of the Meguiars all purpose cleaner. It works well. I need to get a sprayer bottle to dilute it. I was using cap fulls in a bucket to dilute when I cleaned the seats of my wife’s car. Simple green is a good all purpose cleaner, but you have to dilute the same as the Meguiars cleaner. The upside is Simple Green is bio degradable and safe for almost all surfaces

Yeah. I was thinking about Simple Green because I like that it's good for environment. But don't love the smell it leaves. Maybe diluted the smell isn't as noticable.

Anything is better than Griots garage iron remover. Whew! Smells like a wet dog that hasn’t had a bath in over a year

I have looked at this product Merlin and I like the way it works. No rinsing required. Saves time and can be done in the garage. I used a similar product from Turtle Wax but that has since been discontinued. The only problem is our auto shops don't stock ONR. I would have to order online. Cost is about 70 dollars AUD plus postage for a large container.. Do you find it in your local shops and how much do you pay?

I didn't bother with the local shops and ordered a 32 oz bottle online. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00D8DR0AO/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_bia_widget_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
