Faded Trim Pieces

I used pink stuff and it cleaned right up. However water spots are more noticeable now. Going to have to wax them.

Any idea how to restore the faded plastic trim on the door pillars and roof?
Also the metal frame between roof and doors?

I think they mean the drip rails, which get cracked over time. They are metal, under a rubberized coating that is painted. My theory is that the rubberized coating shrinks, or the paint on that surface shrinks, thus producing the separation of the paint into lines.
