Does anyone have photos of the stock charge pipe for both the 2.0T or 3.3T. I'm trying to figure out what aftermarket BOV's we can provide the community/what will fit. Havent been able to gain access to a Stinger lately with the holidays and thought you guys could help us out!

Thanks!

They have the same flange as the 2017 Hyundai Elantra Sport. rectangle flange on the front of the engine. If our shop car was here right now i would take a few pics for you lol

No pictures anyone!?

Has anything come of this? It almost seems a shame to have twin turbos andanot be able to hear them at all.
My understanding is that going with the K&N Typhoon thing might amp up the turbo noise a little, but if I'm going to chip this thing and put new intakes in it, I'm gonna want that sweet "PISHHRR" to go with it.

I'm ready for more people to start putting things on and posting videos! I'm not aware of anyone with a BOV on a stinger yet. Anyone?

Is there anything to gain besides noise with BOVs? Most modern turbo cars have resirculating valves to push excess air back into the system and not to the atmosphere like the 90s turbo cars.

Koreans made bov adaptor plates for HKS valves and are available for order HKS SQV4 BOV Flange Adaptor kia stinger
Hey, thanks!

You know, I just found this video last night, and really, I was surprised at just how much new turbo noise you get just by going with the K&N intake kit! That's a respectable (and really musical) blowoff noise right there. No mention of anything other than the K&N kit. Just sharing for those like me who are interested. I've heard a few BOV videos from other cars that just sound like a "TSSSSHHHH!" almost like an air brake or a noisemaker in a haunted house or something. That "TSSRRRRRRrrrr" sound is what I'd really like to have.

If the current K&N kit is too loud for anyone's taste, from my experience, their drop-in air filter replacements should allow more noise than stock but less than that complete intake kit.

Very good to know! Do you think it would be very noticeable? For me, it's not probably a "too loud" situation as much as it's a "where do I prioritize that on the budget" thing. Drop-in sounds much more impulse-friendly if it would be a worthwhile (noticeable) upgrade!

I'm thinking it will likely be noticeable compared to stock. But we'll have to wait and see. Remember, you'll need two! ;)

(if you own a GT, that is)

Black GT1 here. Yep. 2. Looking forward to hearing it (unless by that time I've already put the Typhoon kit on)

Whats the model number for the filter?

I'm going to get it from Amazon, try it, and return it if it doesn't change anything.

Im interested to see how the Stinger sounds with the dual BOV set up with the intakes!

A drop in filter wont change any noise at all, because its using the same factory air box thats a closed sealed system there wont be any different in sound

Your opinion is counter to my experience. My 2016 Fiesta ST is my latest experience moving to a K&N drop-in, replacement filter. And it made a difference. In that car (and perhaps still in the Stinger GT), replacing the intake outright made almost no difference in performance on the stock turbo.
