I called JM&A Group about this extended warranty KIA of South Austin sent me after my 5yr/50k warranty expired. Here are the details of the offer, wondering if anyone bought the offered warranty or went with a different offer from someone else? I have no idea if the price is good or bad or if the actual warranty is worth it. Looking for any comments or suggestions.
Here are the details they sent:

This Kia Distinction factory program is administered by Century Warranty Services Inc.,which has been a premier provider of vehicle service contracts for many years and is backed by Courtesy Insurance Company.

extended warranties are a scam. The chances of your stinger needing $4500+ worth of warrantied work is very low. These warranties often don’t cover much of anything that you’d expect them to. Also, parts aren’t that expensive for the stinger. Unless you have catastrophic engine failure, you’ll likely just be wasting money. Even if you needed a transmission replacement, you’d probably still spend less than $4500. I’m seeing transmissions for stingers for under $1500. Stingers are pretty reliable anyway. Don’t buy it.

Be very careful. They are scam artists. Even if they will entertain the issue, you could be

out of your car for quite a bit of time. That is the rub with these companies. Good luck.

Oh and if you have modded the car.. forget it. They will not cover

anything even something as simple as a catch can.

When it comes to extended warranties, don't bother reading the list of things that they will cover.
What you are really interested in is the exclusion list. Go over the contract very carefully and make sure you understand 100% what is NOT covered.
You'd be surprised.
This is basically an insurance policy, and insurance Companies are not your friends. They are not signing you up because they want to help you.
They want your money, but are loathe to paying out any types of claims, and will do whatever sleazy/underhanded things they can to avoid payment.
Just keep that in mind.

"Warranty is the same as the factory warranty"

Except

Brake linings, brake drums and rotors, disc brake pads, standard manual transmission clutch friction disc, pressure plate, pilot bearing, throw-out bearing and arm, air bags, solar powered devices, glass, lenses, sealed beams, body parts and/or panels, weather stripping, trim, moldings, lock cylinders, tires, wheels, all batteries except Hybrid/EV/Hydrogen High Voltage batteries as listed under Sentry Care Coverage, light bulbs, upholstery, paint, bright metal, freeze plugs, filters, heater and radiator hoses, exhaust system, catalytic converter, shock absorbers, work such as front-end alignment or wheel balancing (except when required in conjunction with a mechanical breakdown), safety restraint systems, audio/security or other systems not factory installed, or vinyl and convertible tops.

THAT is not the same as a factory warranty because virtually all of these items ARE covered by a factory warranty.

A Roadside Assist Cover which I assume you have available would cover things like towing. You can pick up a small rental car yourself if you have to for probably $40 a day.

Kia fully factory warranty these cars for 7 years unlimited km here. Nothing is going to cost $4500 to fix.

Don't bother. It's just a rip off.

Good point on that "warranty is the same" line. I should have quoted that because that's what she said and that's what I wrote down and then when I looked up the plan online I saw all the exclusions and pasted them into the post. So yeah, that's a lie.

Look. If the car is in reasonably good condition forget the aftermarket warranty.

It's not a factory warranty. Factory warranties cover everything if it is an abnormal wear.

Bank the money

I am sure you are going to get a trouble free life with it.,

I bought into the "Extended Warranty" scam. 6yrs/120k miles.

I am 6months away, barely 26k miles on the clock, and I've only warrantied the damn noisy headliner :p

If you go the extended warranty route, remember that it's basically an insurance policy, and insurance companies are NOT your friends.
They will do whatever is necessary to not pay out a claim. They are underhanded and thieves.
If you are reading the contract, go through the exclusion list very thoroughly.
Don't worry about what is covered. Worry about what is not covered. Fair warning.
