I wanted to see how much valet mode neuters the 3.3 so I did a quick 0-60 using my dragy. I was amazed; took me back to my teen years and trying to drag in my 145 hp V6 Ford Probe LX, lol.
If I had a teen driver I would likely only let them drive in valet mode:
Hyundai/Kia's non-TT 3.3 makes around 290 hp. I'd think that would move the Stinger to 60 a little quicker than your time suggests. Also, the 250 hp 2.0t Stinger gets to 60 in 6-6.5 seconds
Does valet mode do more than just remove boost from the picture? Deactivate cylinders or something? Or do you live in the mountains?
Last night I jokingly told a friend I could beat him in valet mode so we had a quick race. During the race, I started limping and got CEL with code p0000. I couldn't find a description online.
I was able to clear it, and don't plan on using map 4 often, so not a big deal. Just curious though if you've ever seen this or know what could cause it.....
