I won't rehash all the problems everyone's had finding updates with the web site down but I may have a small victory. I have my local dealer downloading an update for my 22' GT2. I have no idea if they are gonna charge me but I'll happily pay something. I really need my Android Auto to fill my display. Anyway now I'm worried if I gave him the right update to download. I found it somewhere. It's CKPE.USA.S5W_M.V014.010.250818.

I'll be happy to put it in a drop box if it works. I wonder if anyone can verify that's the one. Right now I'm at 1767910634379.webp

Google search shows that as being the fw for the ioniq5.

The last official stinger fw was ``CKPE.USA.S5W_M.V012.010.240822|KM|2022_Stinger_USA``

That was downloaded via the kia updater. Consists of the following files/checksums

Also, there's already a big thread on the map updates -

I found the source of your CKPE.USA.S5W_M.V014.010.250818 version. While it's from official sources, it was never released publicly in the US (for the stinger). This version matches the canadian november release - CKPE.CAN.S5W_M.V014.010.250818 from https://update.kia.com/CA/EN/updateNoticePopup/aBQ0Rt .

One person on the discord server commented it installed successfully. Not many folks on the channel so few data points.

Who wants to test? ;)

I am seeing this, after providing my 2018 VIN.

"Navigation Updater installation required
"Installation of the latest version of Navigation Updater is required. After installation, select the 'Download' button again to run automatically."

This I have never encountered before. And I have no idea what this is even about. No links are provided to install "Navigation Updater". To where does it install? I have always updated by downloading to my computer, then transferring the files to the SD card and putting it back in the dash.

Their redesign is the most ass backward flow I've seen. It's like they don't want you to even try the update by making it so difficult.

1) off the main update page click on navigation, under how to update.
This brings you to Infotainment User Guide - Official Kia Navigation Update Website

Scroll down a bit, find windows and ios versions (no linux... linux users use nudl!!!!)

I think i mentioned it before - the 2026 update has been available via nudl for quite some time. It was there earlier in the year when this topic came up.

I think once you install the installer, the links on the webpage will forward to it. Of course, who installs this in anything but a vm??

Thanks for that direction. It was in front of my face and I couldn't "interface". Ha hah.

Downloaded the updater and created an account - it's been that long that the old email addy is long dead. Now the files for the navigation update are downloading. I'll report back on hos this goes. I really like updated maps. The rest on offer, meh.

later, edit - I found this update the least troublesome of the four or five that I've done on this car. The 2019 Premium gets done tomorrow.

Odd how the maps are incomplete for no reason. I went to the north end of our subdivision, where a bunch of new housing went in - this is several years ago by now. All the new streets appear in the update, except one short east-west street. Why?

Report back on the total download size once it finishes processing. Also a screen shot showing all the files in the folder would be helpful.

Ahhh, I never saw any of that - files I mean. I put the SD card in the port on my laptop, so when the downloader asked for locations, it already showed the SD card location, and below that was "Downloads" for the temporary files - I presume stored there because the total is just under 50 GB, while the actual data on the SD card is c. 22 GB. I never noticed that before.
