I just had Eibach sway bars, Whiteline endlinks and Ark GT-F lowering springs installed on my 22 GT2 AWD. A couple of things, I have read you should do an alignment after this work is done. The thing is the car rides straight not pulling to the left or right. I have an appointment this weekend to get the alignment checked/done. Does it still need it? Secondly I had the front and rear settings on soft for the sway bars, I’m wondering if I should have the rear set on the more aggressive setting. I also have the Mando which the shop couldn’t understand the directions because they are in Korean. Is this a difficult install and can I just do it on my own? Is there a noticeable difference once installed? Thanks

wait a couple weeks after your spring install before you get it aligned the springs will settle. your sway bar settings need to be the same or your car won't behave correctly

you need an alignment for sure after a spring install. just because it doesn't pull doesn't mean your tires won't wear fast.

FWIW, I have my swaybars front soft rear hard, but that's personal preference. I'm sure on a track it'd be a little wiggly out back but on the street it's just pretty neutral.

I'll comment only on the sway bar settings. Stiffening the rear bar will reduce understeer or create oversteer. I run mine soft front and rear.

I recently did Eibachs and set them at soft and soft.
The harder settings are recommended for track use or dry traction surfaces. Il live in a wet and wintery area so decided to go with the more streetable setting.
I also did ATQ subframe collars.

I did not get an alignment . It felt great and tracked down the road well.

250 miles later on a road trip my front tires were thrashed on the outside edge. Huge chunks coming off a tire with less then 1200 miles on them.

Id recommend you let the springs settle for the rest of the week and definitely get that alignment. ASAP...20220521_160321.webp

Defintely an alignment after a spring install.

Thanks for the recommendation. Sorry you had that issue with your tires. I had the work done two weeks ago and driven roughly 100 miles so things set in. I have an appointment tomorrow morning for a 4 wheel alignment. Thanks again for the heads up.

Now I wish I could find a cat back exhaust for a 22 Stinger 3.3TT AWD that works with variable exhaust. I don’t want to loose that. I’ve been reading and following threads, but nothing definite yet.

Looks like they were able to correct your toe, but couldn't help much with the rear camber.

How much for the alignment?

BTW, here's a great vid on how to read an alignment printout:

There are some simple YouTube vids that make installation a breeze.

I have the Mando ECS10 and it would certainly compliment your suspension hardware.

The alignment cost $174.00. That’s with a $35.00 discount. I’m bringing it back because the steering wheel is slightly cocked to the right. I will address the rear camber as well.

Thanks for the videos. I will tackle this myself. Does the Mando need to be uninstalled when bringing the car to the dealership?

No.

You will be able to fully control, (enable and disable) the ECS10 right from your cell phone in the Mando ECS10 app.

No excuse for a crooked steering wheel!

I just want to check something real quick before I install my eibach sway bars on Wednesday. When discussing the alignment requirement, is that just for the springs or are you saying it’s for when only sway bars are installed as well?

Only springs/lowering. The sway bars do not affect alignment.
