After installing Eibach sway bars front and rear, I noticed a noise in the front from day one. Sounds like a creaking noise like something is flexing. I had an independent shop install and they used the included lube and they lubed it very well per the instructions. After a few months the squealing got really bad, so I took it to the dealership and they confirmed it was coming from the the bushing on the front sways, so they put a ton of grease on it. It was much quieter but I could still just barely hear it, BUT after a couple months of raining every other day here in Atlanta it came back again.

I looked it up and it's apparently a problem with Eibach front sways. Here is a video of what it sounds like (not my video, but sounds exactly the same):

This same person posted a solution. Waterproof marine lube.

I bought the stuff he recommended. ULTRA Tef-gel TG-01 https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01606TCAG

I went back to my dealership to have them put the new lube on and it's completely silent now. I'm just hoping it will be a long term solution. If the squeal comes back I'm going back to the factory front sway bars.

If you're thinking of getting Eibach front sways and live in a climate that rains often don't even bother using the provided lube, get a good waterproof marine lube.

Interesting, mine came with grease nipples.

You know I checked and mine have them too. I guess there was something lost in translation from the service tech to the service rep that gave me the story. I guess he meant if I wanted to use the grease I supplied them they couldn't use the grease ports, so that's why they had to uninstall?

The bushings that come with aftermarket sway bars are often noted to be noisy. As you found, grease is usually the (temporary) solution. The long term solution would be to find a bushing of a different material and durometer, assuming there is an alternative that fits.

Oh man this is exactly what I have been dealing with since mine were installed I figured mine was a unicorn since I hadn't heard anyone else complain about this. I'll definitely have to try and grease it up and see what happens.

That doesn't sounds so good.

I am hesitant to install both sways now. May be I will go with just rear.

Maybe there is less movement in the rears but they never made a lot of noise in back. I've heard positive reviews for just doing the rears so I would recommend that if you don't want the maintenance of re-lubing the fronts.

They come with grease nipples, what maintenance? Other than a couple of shots with a grease gun jeez. I had front & rears fitted since Sept.18 no “squealing” if the lube is used at install & grease nipples are fitted that should suffice.

Damn, I can't remember for the life of me where I got it, but I used to use poly-bushings on massively beefy swaybars on my old car. As you can guess, swaybar-bushing squeal was a normal thing. I ended up buying special poly-bushing lube that lasted a lot longer, but as long as the bushing is stiffer and higher density, it will simply always slowly squeeze all the lube out of the spaces and gaps.

Or in other words, I have never found anything that "works forever" when lubing high durometer or polyurethane bushings :p

Re-bumping this thread. Has anyone recently installed front Eibach sway bars this year, and if so, is your front end squealing like Peppa the Pig too?? I acquired a lightly used set which still wasn't that cheap, but if it's gonna make squealing noises, I'm selling them and saying screw it.

Thx in advance.

I had some squeaks, but I put more grease in via the nipples on the brackets and haven't come back.

I've had my front bar in for exactly a year. Started making "creaking" noises after c. two weeks. "Squealing" is not the right word for this noise. What I do is shoot both sides of both bushings with spray silicone: it's a quick fix: and yes, I don't have a "grease gun". Odd thing was, I asked the service guys to check to make sure my sway bar bushings were lubed and they said yes they are. I can only hear the creaking going in and out of our driveway and over speed bumps and the like, i.e. at very slow speeds. At normal driving speeds I do not hear anything from the suspension.

More like Bullitt was chasing him, but a quibble. :D

Jeez guys, just go purchase a grease gun like below (although I'd suggest the gun with rubber attachment since it's a hit easier to use) and a tube of chassis lube to fit it and hit the zerk fittings (grease fittings) until you see lube coming out of the sides of the bushing and bam sounds are gone. It's the whole point of those fittings, you shouldn't have to do this more than once every 1-2 years or less to be noise free.

Same, maybe usa kits were different.

Has anyone ever successfully greased the rear bar bushings with a grease gun? If so, what gun/fittings?
