He didn't like it? It received one of his highest scores. Especially among his "non-exotic" cars he's reviewed. His only real negative is that he is not yet convinced it will succeed, particularly in the US market.

He is right though ... it won’t succeed ... if you just look at sales numbers.
But I’m sure Kia know this, and the Stinger isn’t about setting new record Saloon Sale figures, but instead of changing people’s perception on the Kia Brand name; and that will be a lot harder to gauge and judge.

Haha, isn't it funny how reviews work. I can guarantee there is not one person on the planet wouldn't straight up trade a stinger for the R8.

Beat me to it. Cool factor is there, but not practical. Also since I'm married already, not trying to impress any other ladies
Besides, my wife loves the Stinger already and will surely also say the R8 is also not practical as it will not take my kids to hockey practice.

I get you like the stinger, I'm obviously not 100% sold like you are, but I do think it is a pretty damn good car for the money. But saying sh!t like that just makes you look stupid. How do you not see that? "I wouldn't trade my 50k for your 200k" it's either a flat out lie which makes you a delusional fanboy, or you actually believe that you wouldn't give up a 50k car for a 200k car which makes you really really dumb.

I think the only person looking dumb here is you ................keep talking , you just look dumber . I don't care how much any 2 door 2 seat car is worth , I dont want one , had one before as well . My opinion , my circumstances ......................just reality .

Hi Chris, Looks like it's getting a bit chippy here. I've alway found it interesting, if not sad, online people (myself included) say things to people we would never say to people in person at a grocery store or a car dealer, etc... That said, I'd like to ask if you've test driven the Stinger? I've test driven both the 2.0L Premium, and the GT2 AWD. They are both, well, solid cars, at any price. They are just impressive rigs no matter what the badge on them. And yes, they do drive different due to engines and weight, but they are both amazingly fun in their own ways - you can test drive and judge for yourself.
I've never paid over $25,000 for a car. I was thinking I could stay to that rule with the base Stinger (I could) but then I had to go test drive the GT. Sheesh. Now I'm trying to figure out how to get into that, which means waiting more and saving more, no other way about it.
So go drive them yourself and see what you think. It's just a well balanced car, with focus and passion behind it. You can sense that in every aspect of the vehicle, and yet it checks all those crazy lame functional aspects also (roomy back seat, truck size, roomy hatch, etc... Thanks Chris.

I agree. If I were to have both, then sure. But if I could only have one? Practical car all the way.

I’d trade the Stinger in a second for an R8. I’d then go sell the R8, buy another Stinger, mod it, and have tons of cash left over.
