Just got a set of door striker covers and they sent me 16 pieces of 3M tape for installation... 8 thin tapes and 8 thick. Which ones go where? It seems to me that I shouldn't need more than 2 pieces per plate, but thick or thin?

Thanks!

Fairly sure I only used 2 of the thicker on each piece.

I didn’t use the tape at all. I just friction fit them and they haven’t budged. That was about 12 months ago.

Each seller has differing application methods, mine had 2 pieces of tape that I used.

Its up to you i used the thin ones..only to stop rattles

I used the thin ones and it seems to work fine. Makes me wonder why the different sizes still...

You're overthinking it. Just slap the thin ones on each end of the striker plate and stick it on. Mine haven't moved since. Save the thicker pieces for another project. I used a couple on my rear Stinger badge on the edges.

As if overthinking is a crime..
