There are many forms of paint protection. A dealer provided service that costs only $200 is likely some low grade silicon coating that will last for only a few months. You are better off buying a high quality ceramic coating material (like Gtechniq's Crystal Serum L ight) and doing the coating yourself.
I knew I was keeping the car for a while, so I had a shop put a polymer protection film put on the front end of the car and a ceramic coating on the whole car. The short video below gives a sense of all the labor that goes into properly adding those types of paint protection.
