Damage done by Dealership need opinions

Not sure if the Kia warranty allows you to do your own oil changes.
... uh - of course you can change your own oil.

That's f-ing ridiculous! Just plain lazy and thoughtless. I never take my car to the dealer unless it's a recall issue. You can't trust them. Find a good local mechanic and get a good working relationship with them. Hang out in the shop while they are working on your car and tip them $20 every time they do something for you. It's always worked for me. Knock on wood. It shouldn't have to be this way, but it is.
This sets a bad precedent. Lets not normalize needing to "tip" skilled labour.

I agree. It’s so unfortunate. Maybe Kia reps will get it through their heads..:
This ONE issue makes me question not only keeping my stinger but whether or not I will ever purchase a Kia again -
What a bad taste it leaves in the mouth.

Add me to the list of Kia dealership rocker panel casualties. This is when I took mine in last week for the 12,000 mile maintenance.

It’s so wrong, lazy and incompetent.
It’s their halo vehicle and many don’t even know how to put the damn thing in the air for service. It’s infuriating.

Can anyone explain the specifics as to how this happens?

I presume the car isn't on its wheels while on a lift.

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...

I presume the car isn't on its wheels while on a lift.

The lift has pucks that they aren't moving to the correct location before raising the car.

I actually crushed both my rocker panels when installing a catback. I reversed onto ramps a little too vigorously, which caused both ramps to be sucked under the car, causing the rockers to come to a rest on top of the ramps. Man I was sick!

These images are from my friends Porsche 944 (same exact issue/damage)

The mechanic was so sure he was not responsible, he rolled it back onto the hoist to prove it..... The shop owner immediately realized the kid he hired as a technician was less than detail oriented

Shop owner paid to fix and apologized profusely.
