This isn't my video but the same thing is happening on my '19 GT with 11k miles:

Just noticed it today. I get the creaking noise from what sounds like the rear driver side when pressing the brake pedal while stopped or slowing to a stop. During normal driving it's either not loud enough to hear or I'm not pressing the pedal hard enough to cause it.

I probably won't get a chance to get it up on jack stands until this weekend but the pads still had plenty of life left on them about 2k miles ago. Has anyone else had this issue? Any ideas how to address it?

I sometimes hear a one-time creak noise when I perform a full stop when the car is still cold. Just thought it was normal and not really sure what's causing it? Maybe it needs oil? (You can tell I'm not very car savvy :p)

If anyone's curious, according to the Kia tech who worked on my car, the creaking noise was caused by rust being squeezed together between the brake pad and anti-squeal plate. They replaced the rear brake pads and did some cleaning & lubricating. No more noise, covered by warranty. After that and searching around for Brembo issues, I think it would be a good idea to inspect and clean these brakes regularly.

Cool. Love you avatar, BTW, asciidic. I has an '86 T-type for 22 years. Its power was underrated.

I had an 86 & 87 :) I loved that not many knew about them so they would surprise the hell out of people. I guess there are some similarities to the Stinger there. "It's a Kia lol" is the new "It's a V6 Buick lol"

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...
Sweet! And discovering the Stinger feels the same as discovering the Buick. I remember the first T-type I saw. An elderly lady at the wheel and then it just took off! Found a low mileage one locally. Took a buddy for his first ride and he was literally "Holy shit...Holy shit!" One wheel peel, though...could only get sideways taking a left - LOL.

I'm ready to obtain a Stinger, just wish there was even one within ~150 miles!!

maybe!

I just had the same issue (creaking noise from driver's side rear) - only had 1,800 miles on the car when I noticed it. The dealership found that it was due to the rotor being warped, as opposed to rust. Either way, they turned both rear rotors and replaced both rear pads under warranty. Seems to have fixed the issue so far.
