After just over 25,000kms on the OE Continentals I got new shoes fitted today, however when they removed my left rear this was presented to me, I was absolutely shocked, the car showed no sign when driving & also was not loosing pressure & as this was the inside I would have never known.
The tyre guys even said there was no evidence to the tyre or rim of any impact damage & believe this is possibly a fault in the tyre.
I dodged a bullet here, strongly suggest those with Continentals with high mileage have them checked.

You could have got a replacement from Kia? That’s bad though thanks for alerting us.

FAAAARRRKKKK!!

I’ve got about the same mileage on mine. Guess what I’m doing tomorrow. Thanks for the tip. Oh, and what did you replace them with?

Tyres are not warranted especially with that mileage.

25k kms is well inside what a reasonable person would expect, so Australian Consumer Guarantees trump warranty anyway in this case.

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...

woah!...that could've end up badly.

Glad you caught it on time.

I would definitely report this to Kia and Conti , thats a serous delamination issue and very dangerous , I had a "shredding" issue on a set of Michelins at 30k and they replaced them .................push man push !!
