Many of you probably have read my constant whining about not being able to get the color combo I wanted, so I'm yet to buy.

Looks like 2019 won't stop my whining, so I'm back to plan B - buy the car I want and get it changed to the color I want.

Originally started this journey looking at the M2 in Laguna blue. After realizing I can't live with a car that small, I looked at larger performance options from BMW, Mercedes, and Lexus. Very close to making a decision, I found out the Stinger was coming and, as a VERY happy owner for many years, decided it wouldn't hurt to wait. So here I am.

My GF recently bought a similar Mercedes (CLS400) and I've come *SO* close to going that direction (expect AMG for me), because I still can't buy what I want from Kia.

... but the 2019 GT2 with red Napa meets every requirement except exterior color.

My favorite to-date is a matte metallic blue that I've posted elsewhere, but I've been seeing so many options on other great looking vehicles, and I keep thinking back to that metallic orange in all the promo pics, and I have to wonder:

What's the best GT-style color you've seen?

For what it’s worth I’m with you on that metallic orange, there is also some shots in a metallic/pearlescent yellow that looked pretty hot as well.
So if you what red leather interior buy a Pearl White one & then get it vinyl wrapped or buy the exterior colour you want with black interior then purchase a complete set of red leather seat covers & door cards & swap it out.
Or final option, you could go Kia America get down on your knees & beg for your colour combo while holding a wad full of cash telling them you may go AMG, that may carry some weight or evan a petition, I’ll sign it for you.....good luck with your dilemma, keep us posted....

I completely understand where you are coming from! I had a E46 M3 in Laguna Blue and loved that car. Based on pictures alone I thought the micro blue would fit the bill but after seeing it in person, I wasn't a fan. I thought I would settle for white but the dealers in the area weren't budging on white GT's. Got a stellar deal on a silky silver GT1 with the red interior and ended up pulling the trigger. To your question though, I plan on keeping this car for the long haul and am giving serious thought to a wrap of a deep blue color, similar to the new acura nsx or even the new civic type R since we have been deprived of the deep chroma blue everyone else gets

Dark Blue on Red...classic E46 M3 color and would have got my purchase on Stinger as well.

My vote is for the pearl yellow orange i saw from the car show pics...or mclaren volcano orange.

Id also like to see a leather/suede (alcantara) option for the seats. My M3 has this and is much more comfortable on hot days and wears so much better than any other leather seat i have owned.

IMG_9697.webp No white/red GT2 here, and unless you're wrapping in white, it's a bad choice because it shows in all the panel gaps and looks hideous when you open the doors, hood, trunk, etc. Black is the way to go (which obviously I can get with red leather)

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...
You could wrap everything...there is a shop near me that i have seen this done on lambos and mclaren...no original color seen anywhere except for maybe deep in the forward door jamb.

Id go with black and then swap the interior

If I could have any color combo, I'd chose the Indigo Blue exterior from the Dodge Charger and the warm Brown Leather found in the 2019 Ram 1500 Laramie Longhorn Edition.

You picked 2 of my favorite things but slightly off, I'll raise you B5 Blue and the dark longhorn interior. Although I think I'll take a pass on combining the two of them. I'm still going to go with red/rd for a stinger, blue on blue would probably work pretty good to depending on the shades they pick for the interior

I had a 2010 Challenger R/T and a 2015 Charger SRT in the B5 Blue (surf blue), I love that color too!

I still toy with that idea: competition orange.

Oh wow.. I spent some time walking around a (closed) dealer this evening, looking for paint defects but ended up being caught up looking at a pearl white gt2.. I'd never looked at one closely, because I swore I'd never own another white car, but (as I now realize) it's not white, and it's absolutely freaking gorgeous. So now I might not need to worry about a custom wrap or dip after all.... AND - comes with extra red napa interior.. hehehehe...

@eflyguy your enthusiasm is showing. The white that isn't white has your number, and the red interior is sealing your fate! :P

Indeed.. throw in a 360º camera and I think I'm set!

DCB GT2 - any color interior is fine

OR

Panthera Metal GT2 with Red interior

Both of these already exist everywhere else (with 360 camera, rear heat, etc), but KIA won't sell them here so I'm going to keep my money and keep looking.

At times, I wonder if I'm being too much of a stickler (as the car is quite unique), but I don't think I would be if they never even offered such things in other places. However, since they do offer it, I don't see any reason to settle. I'm not a brand snob and would pay for a somewhat expensive KIA, but I'm not to the point where I would pay for an expensive KIA AND compromise a lot on features and colors.

This is where KIA US handicapped themselves on purpose. They may have done it to appease Genesis (which makes no sense because the vehicles are not the same) or purely do to greed, I don't know. But I know they purposely handicapped their own product and for that amount of money, I'm not going to compromise that much especially on stuff that they already have available and are selling worldwide.
I think KIA US needs to learn a tough lesson in regards to the excessive de-contenting and restrictions they've placed on the US.
