Hi y'all, bought a Stinger 2.0T about two weeks ago. When I turn the engine off, there's a clicking sound from the engine bay. Is this normal? I've never owned a turbocharged vehicle before so idk if this is something they do.
Care to record the sound to clarify? I've noticed both the 2.0 and 3.3 both have electronic wastegates that close when shutting off the engine, and you can hear them clicking shut if you pay attention.
I recorded a video of a 2.0 loaner G70 I had because I wanted to see if I had installed my passenger side turbo waste gate correctly (long story that I posted on this forum a while ago), so I recorded the loaner to compare and make sure all was normal. Take a look/listen.
If yours sounds like the above I would consider it a normal sound. If it sounds different, well, post a video and someone else here can probably chime in and help.
