I've been searching many threads, now, and can't seem to get a definitive answer on that question. I've seen plenty of DIY videos, but what I'd like to know is how much time should I expect to have to put in switching the OEM CB for an aftermarket CB.
Full day to install without pb blaster and about 2 hours with it lol. I was using jack stands and a had no access to my creeper since moving to new place so took me about 2 hours to do the borla. I will add that the car had about 14 months and 2 salty winters in my case when I did so bolts needed longer soaking period with pblaster. I didn't bother torquing to spec for exhaust pipes, just made em as tight as I could with a normal length wrench which I figure is about 60-70 ft-lb. Be sure to spray the rubber hangers to slide out easily. After fighting one side putting hangers on car first then muffler, I mounted the second side hanger on the muffler first then pushed them into place onto chassis end hanger which was much easier to do.
