Carid and Ark Performance

CarID cancelled my order -- and then took 7 days to refund my account. I've never understood why when you BUY and item they get the credit card charged on the same day, but when you get a REFUND, it takes a week.

I'll be ordering the hood directly from ArkPerformance later today.

It’s because they’re scumbags. I canceled an order with Summit and they refunded me immediately and that was an order placed over the phone with a CC. A PayPal purchase is even easier to refund.

Some people never get their refunds from carid. Others take weeks/months. Their reviews are abysmal.

They act like a bank taking orders for products that aren’t in stock and must maintain a pretty healthy account balance that way.

I’ll never attempt to order from them again. There’s no need to, especially if there’s a more “mom and pop” type vendor I can deal with.

After reading reviews on 'Yelp' I realize I'm lucky to have gotten my money back. The part actually WAS out of stock during the past several months (but they took my order KNOWING that it was out-of-stock at the time). Two years ago I bought a set of tires and rims from them with no problems at all. Maybe Covid has put them in a bad spot -- but that's no excuse for what they're doing.

I ordered some crappy Duraflex pieces from them. I pretty much knew I was going to hate then as soon as I clicked submit order. Called Carid and asked if I could cancel, unfortunately it was processed to be shipped. They said they would contact Duraflex to send me the labels to return the shipment. Once they got it back and put back into stock they would credit my card in 3-5 business days. I got the refund yesterday in three business days.
