Well just found out K&N Typhoon is now CARB approved. Going to switch from BMS.

@Terry@BMS , are you guys still pursuing regarding the CARB exemption?

Why does it matter? You don't need smog for like 4-5 more years..

Don’t want to take it off and back again. I’m just that lazy.

No shit? Gotta send for the exempt sticker then.

Just read, it is only legal for 2018 and 2019 Kia Stinger 3.3, and 2018-2020 Kia Stinger 2.0. So far. You may want to wait.

That is according to the CARB EO number, D-269-86.

Where did you find that info and how does one apply for the sticker?

Search for CARB EO numbers, that will bring it up. Go to the kn filters website to apply for the sticker. There is a list of things you need to provide.

Thank you, much appreciated

I just emailed K&N the completed form with the necessary pics, I'll let you all know what I hear.

Not for the intake at this time. For some reason CA won't approve any intakes on 2018+ and newer cars.

Now that is cool!

That is cool.
For me, I don't worry as I have the stock air box with K&N panels and JA snorkels. To any smog tech it would look totally stock.
Also, I live in a county in California that doesn't require bi-annual smog checks.

You live up in the Sierra? They have REAL gasoline up there too!
You get thru fire season ok?

Still crappy 91 octane gas only. The only thing I can do is get 100 at an independent station in Sacramento before I head to the track in Rancho Cordova during the summer.
The Caldor fire got to within 10 miles the first few days then went the other way.
