No shit? Gotta send for the exempt sticker then.Well just found out K&N Typhoon is now CARB approved. Going to switch from BMS.
Where did you find that info and how does one apply for the sticker? No shit? Gotta send for the exempt sticker then.
Just read, it is only exempt for 2018 and 2019 Kia Stinger 3.3, and 2018-2020 Kia Stinger 2.0. So far. You may want to wait.
That is according to the CARB EO number, D-269-86.
Thank you, much appreciatedSearch for CARB EO numbers, that will bring it up. Go to the kn filters website to apply for the sticker. There is a list of things you need to provide.
Good luckI just emailed K&N the completed form with the necessary pics, I'll let you all know what I hear.
2019 GT1.What year is your car?
@Terry@BMS , are you guys still pursuing regarding the CARB exemption?
But they just did for K&N.Not for the intake at this time. For some reason CA won't approve any intakes on 2018+ and newer cars.
You live up in the Sierra? They have REAL gasoline up there too! That is cool.
For me, I don't worry as I have the stock air box with K&N panels and JA snorkels. To any smog tech it would look totally stock.
Also, I live in a county in California that doesn't require bi-annual smog checks.
