Im not sure exactly when it started but the car just doesn't go in launch control mode regardless of what I do. Something wrong with the transmission?. It used to launch fine. Also have a P2BEC code

Are you saying that you can't pull up the two messages, "launch control ready" and "launch control active"?

From google it says the code P2BEC is for lean fuel reading.
Have you had any mods done to the car?

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...

Note the line referring to 2.5L Hyundai vehicles......

DTC P2BEC indicates a "
Fuel System A Too Lean - Bank 1" condition, typically meaning the engine control module detects excessive air or low fuel on that bank. Common causes include vacuum leaks, faulty injectors, or faulty fuel pumps. It is frequently reported as a PCM software issue on 2019-2020 Ford F-150s or a fueling issue on Hyundai smart-stream engines.

Common Causes & Fixes

  • PCM Software (Ford): 2019-2020 2.7L Ford F-150s may need a PCM recalibration, according to a technical service bulletin from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
  • Fuel System Faults (Hyundai/General): Defective high-pressure fuel pumps, clogged fuel filters, or stuck fuel injectors.
  • Intake/Exhaust Leaks: Vacuum leaks, or exhaust leaks before the oxygen sensor.
  • Oxygen Sensor: Faulty bank 1 oxygen sensor/air-fuel sensor.
Common Symptoms

  • Check Engine Light (MIL) illumination.
  • Rough engine idle or hesitation during acceleration.
  • Reduced fuel efficiency.
  • Potential low-pressure lift pump issues during high-load, per this HP Tuners forum post.
Note: For Hyundai vehicles (specifically 2.5L), this code has been linked to damaged fuel pumps, notes a user on Reddit.

Hyundai specific DTCs

My wife’s 20 Sonata 2.5 smart-stream has been down on power on consistently triggers a hand full of DTCs. The first one is P0191 (Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor Circuit Range/Performance).

The other 2 are manufacturer specific and I was hoping I could get a lead on them here.

• P2BEC • P2BFO

The dealer claims to have seen an evap code (they never told us what it was) and ordered a new gas cap before clearing the codes and sending her on her way. Maybe those other ones are what they where talking about but I thought evap and emissions codes usually start with P04XX.
