First time posting on here and glad to make it since I am wanting to see if anyone has experienced this issue. Recently I was driving into work and went up a small hill and my traction control light came on along with a stability control light and a check engine.
The car lost all power and I had to pull over, the engine ran terrible and I shut off the car. Started the car back up and it ran just fine. There was only a check engine light illuminated. When I got back to my shop I read the code as a P061B, internal control module torque calculation performance. On the way home from work the car ran fine up until I was about 3 miles from home.
The transmission seemed to shift very abruptly and the whole car shook everytime it shifted with a huge loss in preformance and I’m assuming that’s limp mode. I read my check engine light again and this time got the P061B code from before and then a P0234 code witch indicates a overboost issue. I removed my boost pressure sensor and it’s pins seemed fine along with its reading on JB4 while the car was building boost.
I removed my MAP sensor and there was some residual oil from blowby on it. I replaced that MAP sensor and the car drove fine. I also replaced my boost pressure solenoid and was sure to verify that all the small vacuum lines where free of obstruction. I pulled a plug out and found that it was very worn and had 15k miles of tuned use on them so I went ahead and replaced all plugs and have not encountered another issue. I would like to say it’s fixed but wanted to reach out to see what anyone else had to say. Car has been great up till this point.
