Car Comparison | 2018 Kia Stinger vs 2018 BMW 430i | Driving.ca

This is a good representation of how a lot of the brand snobs justify spending the extra money on the badge. I don’t know what rattle was going on in that vehicle, but it seems some of the press cars have developed some. We know KIA will correct any issues in due time. I also liked that it was pointed out that the 4 series also uses hard plastics on the lower section of the vehicle. Folks seem to think just because it is a luxury brand, they don’t use similar material. Wished they had a more in-depth review.

Hard plastic wears a lot better than soft stuff where your feet kick the lower door panel when getting out of the car (yes, I have big feet.) It also protects the door speakers better. And if it's down below arm level, who cares if it's genuine walnut burl or fine Corinthian leather that won't stand the abuse and wear. I drive my cars, I don't sit in them in the driveway and wait for the neighbors to come over and check the materials. I think some of these professional reviewers feel they have to find something -- anything -- to gripe about or they haven't done their job of being "impartial." JMHO.

If we are honest with ourselves the BMW does have more solid well insulated ride. Better handling. Kia has more power and is unique for right now. Kia is cheaper for sure like for like options. My car was built in late 17 and it rattles from dash and around doors occasionally and is not a press car.

The other thing about Kia s we have better warranty . Not going to say Kia has better initial quality as we have seen plenty of issues with early stingers . Paint issue is a big downer for Stinger.

Have a March 2018 built G1. It's only three weeks old but no issues yet (paint, rattles or anything else). Gas mileage is improving, second / third fill up and using 89 Oct. gas. Very happy, looking for excuses to drive every day. This is as good a car, or better, as any of the 47 previously owned.

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...
2/18 build 3300 miles. No issues that have been widely reported on the forums. there are definitely areas where kia cheaped out, but in areas I don't mind. I hear more road noise from my MB GLE AMG package and the interior build and materials are better/more solid than the stinger, but it isn't leaps and bounds. $68k vs $41k - not bad.
Cross shopped the stinger with a lexus gs, 4/3/5 series m sport, and jag xe - came back to the stinger, twice lol...no regrets

At the end, for me it was between the Audi S5 Sportback, the Infiniti Q60 Red Sport, and the Stinger. My decision to buy the Stinger was based on the merits of the car itself, including driving 'feel', comfort and perceived quality. The fact that it came in at the price it did was a very pleasant bonus ...:)

I know which one will depreciate quicker and more expensive to insure and maintain all the while being in the every corner.

Not the best review. But the Stinger is definitely the best value for money and the best car overall.
