I hear some areas actually sell pre-mixed E30. As it is, I have 2 E85 pumps near me (just found the 2nd!) and I usually mix ~4.5-5 gallons of E85 + CA91 (which usually ends up being 7.5-8.5 gallons, depending on how empty I was). Terry recommends 5-6 gallons of E85 with CA91, IIRC. I think the most I've done was 5.25 when I was nearly empty.
That's all I've done so far (jb4, plugs, intakes, FMIC, E30). I usually drive on map 3, sometimes 4. For the track (road courses), I drop down to 2 or fill up with 96 or 100 octane or both. I also have a TCU and ECS 10 for suspension adjustments and sway bars, a pedal commander and a few other minor non-performance mods.
My last car ('05 Legacy GT wagon) had a ton of work: modified turbo, plugs, injectors, pump, TMIC, gutted UP, DP, valve body. I wanted something with less hassle, less mods. So I paid a bit more up front for more reliable power
Edit: and after hearing about all the issues various people have had with various cat / pipe mods, such as leaking turbos, etc, there's no way I'm touching ANYTHING there. I might go with CPI and try E85 straight after a BMS BEF (they have a back-end-flash for running straight E85 with CPI, it's apparently pretty decent now).
