Can I put ceramic finish on newly painted car?

I'm planning on getting a GT2 and having a color change immediately on purchase. How long do I have to wait to put on Clear Film protector, and then ceramic finish?

I asked this question to a protective film shop and they said 3 weeks. If the paint were baked you can film it right away.

How long should you wait for wax or ceramic coat?

You need to check with the shop doing the work, as they will know the requirement for the materials they are using. It's going to take some time for it to "gas out"..

Same thing. You don't want anything sealing the paint before the solvents have fully evaporated. That was the OPs original question.

in the end, it looks like I will be doing a wrap instead of paint. The bid was over $12,000, and there were parts of the car that were going to stay black, so I would imagine it would have been close to $14,000 for everything.

That's what I ended up doing, less than 1/3 the cost.
